Objectives

The main aims of this project were: - to have a rich, concrete and modular learning tool that allows the development of creative processes and the acquisition of digital techniques for groups in situations of social vulnerability and whose access to remote and visual means of communication is difficult; - to raise awareness of recycling and the environment issues in the host country among groups in a situation of economic and social vulnerability; - to facilitate the discovery of creative and digital skills for social and cultural integration.

Background

The Re-Stor-E project is part of non-specialised adult education field. It is targeting trainers who work for the social and professional integration of groups in situations of vulnerability, particularly those who have migrated to Europe. This project was based on a fundamental need for innovative teaching tools and methods that can adapted to multicultural contexts. It aims to address both the needs of the beneficiaries (people in a situation of social and cultural integration) in terms of acquiring digital techniques and knowledge of their environment in the host society, and the needs of trainers, facilitators and social workers in order to fill the lack of complex visual methods and digital tools available for them to support their beneficiaries’ integration. These needs have become all the more important in the post-Covid period, which has highlighted the role of digital technology in professional and social life on one hand and the important challenges of the environmental protection consciousness on the other hand.
