We had 3 main objectives in implementing this project: 1) Understand how the teaching of PES and vocational education is organized in the countries participating in the project. 2) Evaluate and enhance the soft skills in PE classes and in vocational subjects of our students with fewer opportunities using an evaluation grid and thus promote their social inclusion and employability. 3) Propose new approaches to the acquisition, evaluation and enhancement of soft skills in favor of innovation in education and vocational training and its greater adaptation to the needs of the labor market. This contribution to innovation in VET takes the form of a report to inspectors and principals. By implementing this project, we therefore wanted to reflect together on how we can develop, evaluate and enhance the soft skills of our students with the least opportunities in order to improve their personal development and their employability in a world of work. which is changing very quickly and which is seeing many jobs disappear and new ones being created.
We applied for this project because it seemed important to us that vocational high schools that train students on the vocational path, especially those who have fewer opportunities, for the jobs of today and tomorrow take an interest in the way of develop, assess and enhance soft skills. Furthermore, we know that many students develop soft skills outside the school field, for example in a sports club. These students are often students with fewer opportunities. Their soft skills are rarely assessed and valued in professional matters but may be during PE. Moreover, the technological revolution that we are experiencing will see the disappearance of many current professions: developing, evaluating and promoting the soft skills of our students can therefore motivate them and be a chance for a rebound. We have therefore created an evaluation grid of 4 soft skills and we have written a report of innovative proposals to develop, evaluate and enhance the soft skills of our students with fewer opportunities. This report was sent to principals and inspectors in order to improve the teaching practices of all our colleagues informed of our project.
