Objectives

The aim of this project is to offer innovative training tools to help trainers and social workers make the digital transition. It also aims to enable them in turn to train refugees and migrants in the use of digital technology. The project aims to develop the digital teaching skills of trainers and social workers, enabling them to provide inclusive digital education. The training programme covers : - key and cross-disciplinary digital skills - digital skills for civic and social inclusion - digital skills for professional inclusion - digital skills for intercultural communication The InterCult Connected Campus project aims to offer training to reach people who, for a variety of reasons and living in difficult conditions, are deprived of them, and thus to reach people in priority areas of urban policy and vulnerable groups in general.

Background

Given that immigration can make a significant contribution to employment, growth and prosperity in Europe, training for migrant refugees is necessary to support the European economic model. Bringing digital learning together to support migrant entrepreneurs, ensuring that more migrant women also participate in the labour market, represents a useful choice for the host community. The current context of development and digitisation of public services encourages us to modernise and update our education and training systems. We therefore need to rethink the way we train our trainers, as well as our social workers, whatever their role, and develop innovative digital tools to enable them to enhance their skills. Following on from the initial InterCult project, which enabled social workers and trainers to improve their intercultural skills, the InterCult Connected Campus project offers them the opportunity to enhance their skills in the use of new technologies and digital tools in their respective missions.
