Objectives

The objectives of the project were as follows: - To raise awareness among VET institutions of the potential of the SELFIE WBL tool (awareness raising); - To guide them to ensure better use of the tool, in particular the decryption of the report and its translation into a digital action plan; - To engage all stakeholders in the VET ecosystem (school leaders, teachers, learners, companies) in the digital transformation process of training institutions (global approach, 360° vision); - To develop the digital skills of school leaders, teachers, learners, according to the priority themes identified in the SELFIE WBL pilot project in 2020; - To contribute to increased use of the SELFIE WBL tool in Europe.

Background

Digital transformation is one of the EU's 2 major priorities for the period 2021-2027. The Digital Education Action Plan has 2 strategic priorities: (1) Fostering the development of a high-performing digital education ecosystem, requiring among other things digital transformation plans for educational institutions; and (2) Enhancing digital skills and competences for the digital transformation, which involves among other things: - promoting digital literacy and combating disinformation through education and training, - improving the teaching of digital skills in education and training. Our project has mainly focused on these key actions, thus responding to needs recognized at European level. Our consortium members also participated in the pilot project to test the SELFIE WBL tool in 2020, which allowed them to identify in detail the difficulties encountered by VET institutions in their respective countries in their use of the SELFIE WBL tool. We were thus able to better address these difficulties in our project.
