Objectives

In these troubled times of the Coronavirus epidemic, the war in Ukraine, the anxiety of a future disrupted by climate change and the decline of biodiversity, it is difficult for young people to project themselves positively into the future. Many of them are affected by ill-being (or even distress), which could lead them to isolation or anti-social behavior, harmful at the age when they are called upon to take charge of their social and professional lives. This led 8 partner organisations from 7 Member States to pool their skills and experience in a common action in order to give their youth the opportunity to make their voices heard and to contribute to providing a more inclusive response to the contemporary problems in our societies. This is how the project "The future is not, it will be born" was born. It was articulated in 2 steps: 1 - A training course for youth workers, over 2 mobilities of 7 days each, in order to: - Contribute to improving the quality of socio-educational animation through tools and a methodology that will enable them to get the most vulnerable to bounce back into society; - To develop talent by encouraging and supporting vocations in the field of youth work. 2 – A youth exchange on 2 mobilities of 7 days each, in order to : - Improve their attitude and participatory skills by acquiring new knowledge and skills and to develop greater self-confidence. - To bring out a new generation of citizens, open to European issues, through the promotion of active citizenship The method was based on the European Union's youth strategy: - Mobilise, through social, cultural and civic participation; - Connect, by broadening their relational field and their view of the world through intercultural exchanges that allow the development of values such as solidarity and tolerance through a better understanding of others; - Autonomise, by encouraging them to take charge of their lives. During the first mobility, the participants acquired knowledge, tools and skills that they put into practice during the second mobility, through challenges and concrete achievements.
