With this project we wanted to provide youth workers instructors and educators with a taste of topics such as digital diy and music making, to understand how these can be geared towards youth work, especially in the context of maker education practices. We wanted to provide participants with an opportunity to test hands on the tools and techniques for digital diy and electronic music making, we wanted to allow a space for free experimentation, to adopt a trial and error approach. We also wanted to push youth workers to think creatively about what activities they can offer to their young audience and how they can contribute to innovating youth work altogether. One of our focus with this project was to guide participants into thinking about the digital transformation and how young people can be assisted in the process of acquiring advanced digital skills, through participative, fun and experiential learning experiences. We also wanted to initiate participants to the creative practices in the field of reusing discarded objects and scrap materials, in order to widen their viewpoint on topics such as waste, reusing and recycling. The quantitative objectives for this project were the following: - involve 16 youth workers from at least 3 different countries - enable participants to co-create at least one interactive artistic installation made from reuse objects scrap items and integrating digital technologies and digital diy practices - enable participants to attend and experience the boom cantiere creativo festival that took place in Calderara di Reno at the end of october 2021.
