The project aimed at strengthening the links between countries, structures and youth professionals in order to consolidate together projects promoting international and reciprocal mobility of young people with fewer opportunities . The project was divided into 2 complementary activities: - the cooperation meeting of the M.E.R. network - Mobility, Exchange, Reciprocity - from June 13 to 18, 2022 in Marseille gathered 60 professionnels - the Franco-German-Armenian intercultural youth exchange "Journalism without Borders" from October 21 to 28, 2022 in Vanadzor, Armenia united 25 participants and a pedagogical team of 7 trainers and group leaders. The cooperation meeting of the MER network aimed to bring together international partners active in social and youth work to promote international mobility and intercultural exchange. This network has been in existence since 2014 and allows for a link between youth work actors in local structures with a public of young people who have no or little access to mobility programs. These professionals are active in social centers, youth structures and associations in several European and Mediterranean countries. During these 6 days, we welcomed in Marseille participants from France, Germany, Spain, Ukraine, Palestine, Italy, Northern Macedonia, Armenia, Morocco, Algeria, Turkey, Greece and Tunisia. These are partners with whom we have been organizing intercultural projects for several years in some cases. We also counted new partners, with whom we have been working since more recently, as was the case with the Ukrainien partners, for example. The objective was to exchange and create human links with the partners. For many of the participants, it was the first time that a face-to-face meeting took place since the health crisis. Although digital tools allowed us to stay in touch during the health crisis, the physical meeting favored discussion and creativity. We wanted to give these professionals the opportunity to connect and develop new ideas together. And for those who were already working together, to re-establish a direct contact and to take news since the health crisis. One of the objectives of this meeting was also to present the different sectors of mobility and the possibilities of financing for the organization of intercultural exchanges. The aim was to discuss the different types of mobility (individual, for internships or volunteering, and collective, for group meetings) and to inform the partners about the subsidies granted by the different funding bodies, such as the French German Youth Office and Erasmus+. This meeting allowed to strengthen the links and the cooperation between the partners, and to prepare together the Franco-German-Armenian youth exchange "Journalism without Borders" with the partners from Germany and Armenia who were present. The intercultural exchange was intended for young people with fewer opportunities and took place in three stages, in Berlin, Marseille and Vanadzor. The M.E.R. meeting allowed to prepare the last two activities of the project together, towards a common objective of reinforcing the integration of young people who are far from international mobility schemes, of acquiring skills linked to international mobility.
