Objectives

The association Réseau d'Entraide Volontaire has been collaborating for several years with the youth service of the town of Vauvert (about ten kilometres from the association's headquarters). Our collaboration with this youth service aims essentially at accompanying the young people attending the service on the discovery of volunteering, civic commitment, and European and international mobility. Several projects have been carried out within the framework of this collaboration, including collective mobilities. Vision of Youth III is therefore a continuation of this collaboration and has a desire to continue working together, with young people, on the issue of intercultural encounters. It is the second part of a youth exchange project already submitted and validated by the Spanish partner, their project concerns the reception part in Spain, our association REV coordinates the reception part in France, but in both cases it is the same young people. This project was intended to mobilise a mixed and diverse teenage population in the organisation of an ambitious international mobility project. With this project, written with the participating teenagers from the town of Vauvert, a whole community, a town, was welcomed into its midst and made discover its reality to their Spanish counterparts. Beyond a meeting allowing a better knowledge of the other, of elsewhere, and opening new horizons, there was also the will of the participants to continue a collective and intercultural work on the environment and sustainable development through the tool of the video, an omnipresent media object of which the teenagers are fond, without however mastering the ins and outs of it. With this project, the teenagers had the opportunity to set up a reflection and an intercultural collective dynamic of video production, as close as possible to their realities and their questions.
