We carried out this project because people from all ages are suffering with mental and behavioural disorders which are affecting their wellbeing and creating exclusion. Our NGO works actively in this field & we are determined to help youth combat mental illnesses. These problems are a growing public health concern & have become Europe’s one of the greatest health challenges of the 21st century. With COVID19 the whole world had suffered not only from the physical implications of the virus but also its damage on our mental health. Therefore, we wanted to implement this training course to help youth workers to learn tools to combat mental health problems and also use these tools in their daily work with young people so they can also benefit. This way we aimed to create a snowball effect and help our community to learn to protect their mental health, break the stigma around asking for help when struggling with mental health challenges and so on. Objectives -To support NGOs, youth workers, youth leaders in gaining a broader perspective on mental health & to break the stigma -To improve quality of lives by introducing communities to how to cope with stress with interactive and fun activities that improves their analytical, decision-making, social & foreign languages competences -To increase the capacity of partner organisations to address the mental health educational needs of young people in their communities -To provide participants with the equal opportunity to exchange knowledge, expertise and experience in the field of wellbeing and personal development -To develop youth workers' competencies & facilitation skills for their professional, personal, social & emotional growth using non-formal methodologies -To promote diversity, intercultural & inter-religious dialogue, acceptance, European values, and respect of human rights among the participants -To promote & to enhance intercultural learning in the field of youth work -To uncover the participants true potentials, & to inspire them to take active roles as multipliers in their communities -To offer the opportunity to build networks of international contacts, to actively participate in society and to develop a sense of European citizenship and identity.
