Out of the blue, the last 2 years have fallen into a web of serious challenges, due to the appearance of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. It has caused many sectors and industries within the countries to be put on hold, or completely shut down. The strict measures that some European countries introduced, caused unpredictable consequences to the whole societies. The things that have been hit the most are the educational system, which like a domino effect has caused difficulties in the learning processes of people of all ages, especially young people. One of the sectors that have been hit as well as the Youth sector and the continuous work of the Youth organizations. New ways of functioning had to be found. And one of the solutions that were suggested was distance learning. A concept that had been known and advertised since the 1800s, when one teacher had sought students who wanted to learn through weekly mailed lessons. The advances in modern technology that have been made since those days are far superior, and telecommunication networks now circle around the globe. People from many nations and countries are linked in exciting ways. This is why the concept of distance learning has continued within the 21st century, with more sophisticated features. However, the lesser use of this concept, has caused the lack of competences of today's youth workers from all around Europe to digitize all their youth work, and use online platforms for learning. The Training Course "We are going digital” was designed to improve the skills of distance education, and to prove that not the only face-to-face way of learning is an effective one. The aim was to teach the youth workers how to interact with the online platforms developed especially for distance education, and how to apply it in their youth work across Europe. The main objectives of the Training Course "We are going digital" were the follows: 1. To provide an effective alternative path to wider opportunities in education and youth work. 2. To improve youth workers' digital competences, including people with fewer opportunities, about using and creating technologies in distance education and to give them the basic skills for interacting with new tools in their work. 3. To increase the quality of delivering educational content to learners without physical attending. 4. Share the importance of the ability of individuals to learn and adapt, skills that can make the difference in cases where work, family, and courses have moved into the same venue. For our objectives to be met, the participants in the Training Course were provided with all the possible essential knowledge that augmented their skills and digital competences, in their interaction and development of online platforms made for distance learning. As a result, after the end of the Training Course "We are going digital", all the participants were enabled to help their organisations in producing their own online platforms for distance learning.
