Our project has been a skills accelerator which has been sustained by an individual and collective pathway. Thanks to this programme, participants are able to: - Develop personal creative skills (through exercises, workshops, routines) - Understand and overcome the obstacles to stimulating creativity (through theoretical and practical input) - Solve problems creatively (using tools and methods) - Putting idea generation tools into practice (by running workshops with their young public and having tested them themselves to generate new project ideas) - discovering and using tools to sort and select ideas. The cross-disciplinary work was based on real-life situations involving participants and partners. This was punctuated by a number of practical exercises, designed to help participants develop lasting creativity reflexes. The aim was also to demonstrate an experimental approach: There was an alternation of individual and collective practical experimentation, exchanges and theoretical input. Each partner was responsible for co-constructing the training programme for the participants.
The "Hotel de la créativité" project has created a strong and lasting partnership between 4 organisations in France, Italy, Spain and Greece. We applied for this project to facilitate a cross-fertilisation of practices in European youth work, and to create links and solidarity between worlds at local and European level that are too often separated. Our creativity training scheme has given youth workers, trainers and project coordinators the opportunity to develop their skills. The "creativity hotel" has made it possible to carry out 4 key training sessions, mapping out the training programme for each participant. The aim was to stimulate meetings between European structures in order to create and develop new projects. All the elements that punctuated the course helped us to achieve our objectives, which are to drive innovation in 3 areas: - New forms of structure for youth work and the development of youth initiatives. - New projects and innovative processes for training youth workers in Europe. - Re-examination of our methods, programmes, activities and processes.
