Objectives

By implementing the Inclusion is not an Illusion project, we wanted to reconcile parents, students and teachers in the most peaceful way possible. By creating good vibes and opening up more opportunities for students, we wanted to turn the school into a positive place to spend most of the day. That is why we focused on implementing a preventive program at school. Through the preventive program, we achieved communication with parents and students. Parents participated in parent meetings where they were part of workshops or lectures where they were shown how to help their children, how to approach them and how to guide them through schooling.

Background

Our school belongs to the category of primary schools. The school has 580 students and 75 employees, of which 53 are teachers. During the past period, we encountered major problems with parents due to the pandemic closure of institutions. With the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, students were exposed to online classes, parents followed eDnevnik and avoided live information, which led to major problems for students mastering the teaching content and parents' lack of understanding of the teaching process. Parents have become too subjective without understanding the actual teaching process. They directed all their beliefs against the teacher. Because of this, many teachers have found themselves in an unenviable situation, and many students have found a way to avoid their responsibilities with the focus of attention shifted to teachers and their teaching methods.
