By implementing this project we wanted to improve students' skills in the field of wine-making and wine-growing, their IT skills as well as language skills. Also, part of the schools' strategic plan is partnership with „Poljoprivredna i šumarska škola Vinkovci“ as regional centre of competences in agriculture which requires the improvement of students' and professors' skills in the area of agriculture. Further, through this project we wanted to encourage the collaboration among students who attend agriculture programs and computer technicians because the students don't have any opportunities to collaborate and we wanted to introduce new technologies which will contribute to integrated agricultural production and the production of rose wine. We also wanted to enhance the quality of lessons at school so that we could attract higher number of students and design an adapted meteorological station which will keep track of agrobiological parameters and enable the gradual transition to integrated agricultural production and contribute to higher digital level of school.
Context of our project is connected with the needs of our school due to the fact that one of the goals of our project was to create an adjusted meteorological station. The station which the students attending agricultural programs made together with computer technicians keeps track of agrobiological parameters important for school's wine production and it has also contributed to the cooperation among students who attend different programs in Ilok Highschool. Also, during the mobility in Slovakia the students became familiar with rose wine production and with the qualities of that wine which they're going to implement in this years' rose wine production in our school. This way they'll enhance the practical work from the area of wine-making for the future generations of agricultural programs. The employees and students of Ilok Highschool gained adittional competences from the area of wine-making and wine-growing which is of utmost importance also because of the partnership between Ilok Highschool and „Poljoprivredna i šumarska škola Vinkovci“ as regional centre of competences.
