Objectives

We wanted students in the mechanical computer technician educational program to gain new practical knowledge of 3D printing and construction by working in a foreign company, which they do not have in their educational program in Croatia. We also wanted the students in the vehicle technician educational program to work in a foreign company to gain new practical knowledge and skills when making an electric vehicle with an electric drive system that they learn only theoretically in their classes.

Background

The professions for which we train students are subject to constant changes. In order to acquire the competencies and skills they need for work and employment, students should have the opportunity to learn about new technologies and work methods that are used currently in mechanical engineering. A particular problem arises with the educational program mechanical computer technician and technician for vehicles because there is no developed mechanical production in our area, respectively companies engaged in the production of machines, mechanical components and parts. Mechanical computer technicians, technicians cannot acquire all the knowledge and skills of making new machine parts and products. Therefore, it is necessary to enable students carrying out professional practice in companies and institutions that have a complete process of manufacturing mechanical parts as well as a complete process of assembling and testing products.
