With the project, we wanted to achieve the connection of theoretical teaching content by applying the acquired knowledge on practical work tasks, which will largely prepare students to enter the labour market and provide them with the necessary professional competences. General competences that students will develop, such as developing business and friendly contacts, teamwork, professionalism in work, also have great importance. An additional advantage for students is that professional practice can be organized in reputable houses (NISSAN, BMW, FORD) that offer electric and hybrid vehicles, which can provide students with competences that will be in high demand in the long run.
With the aim of improving professional and general competences, students of the Sisak Industrial-Crafts School participated in learning mobility.14 students in the program auto mechanic, autoelectrician and electrical installer, accompanied by 2 teachers, carried out internships in Ireland, in the city of Bray from 2.4.-16.4. 2022.During their stay, the students gained a unique experience working in the company abroad. They were introduced to a different approach to work, attitude towards work, devices and tools, and technology of work. In doing so, they have perfected a foreign language, increased independence, responsibility and self-confidence through interaction with new and unknown persons outside their "yard", i.e. workplace or workshop. Professional practice is organized in renowned houses (NISSAN, BMW, FORD) that offer electric and hybrid vehicles where students have acquired competences that will be in great demand in the long run. With the project "Acquire skills, open yourself to the world (SVOzaS)", the School has enabled students the opportunity to acquire new knowledge, strengthen their competencies and improve the quality of education through mobility and improve their English language skills.
