By implementing the project, we wanted to achieve two basic goals, which are: increasing the key competencies of teachers with emphasis on developing information and communication skills due to the epidemic that forced us to switch to online teaching, and applying the principles of sustainable development in practice to enrich school curriculum with a new way of looking at cooking and catering in general. It is for this reason that the name of our project is TIME (technology, innovation, motivation and ecology).
Our school educates students of deficient professions in the field of tourism and catering, ie offers programs for the professions of chef, pastry chef, waiter and tourism and hotel commercialist. In its work, the school is focused on establishing cooperation with employers in the wider area of Rovinj and is dedicated to encouraging practical classes and workshops. Since the school is enrolled by students of different profiles and they are often students with difficult family situations, such students need to be motivated and educated in an individualized way, respecting their needs. The specificity of the school is that it educates students who, after completing their education, must be able to work and compete in the labor market. Accordingly, we want to provide students with a higher quality of education, by introducing innovative working methods and encouraging students to be active and environmentally conscious citizens.
