We wanted to allow groups of students who may fall into the category of persons with fewer opportunities, which we did; two female students (2.7% female students in the student population), four student travelers, and five students with an individualized educational plan. Also, the school, in cooperation with partner organizations, tried through this project to better understand other countries' cultures in the context of the European Union and their educational, business, and work practices. In all countries, English was used as the working language and in the part of student preparation aimed at improving the use of a foreign language. With partner organizations, we agreed on topics and methods of working on vocational practices, which aimed to have a different approach to work, the environment, and the student's independent coping.
New Start was a one-year project specifically intended for 1st Tesla Technical School students as an electrotechnical and mechanical engineering vocational school. With it, our students were offered two professional internships in one of the four partner organizations with whom practical education was agreed. Three organizations - schools, two of which organized practical classes, and one school organized internships in two companies. Professional practice is organized in an electrical engineering company in the fourth organization. With this project, the school wanted to further affirm its work toward the public through international projects supported by European funds. Considering the lack of Zagreb/Croatian companies that provide high-quality vocational training, this Erasmus+ project proved an excellent opportunity for our students who want a severe vocational education. Our cooperation with schools from Ivrea, Celje, and Bratislava has further improved, and a cooperation agreement has been signed with one (we already have one with two). Therefore, the day internationalization of the school continued throughout the project.
