By participating in this project, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek wanted to promote and implement Erasmus individual mobilities as much as possible during the worldwide restrictions caused by COVID-19 pandemic. During these unfavorable conditions, which greatly limited internationalization possibilities and activities at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, international relations officers worked on promoting and maintaining the number of outgoing student and staff physical mobilities. At the beginning stages of this project, International Relations Office promoted virtual mobilities and combined physical and virtual mobilities as well, but unfortunately, staff and students were not interested in realizing these types of mobilities. This is mostly because of the lack of physical component and financial support, both of which play an important role in motivating students and staff at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. The long-term goal of increasing the numbers of outgoing student mobilities was also hindered by the COVID-19 pandemic. Online teaching, restrictions and closed offices mostly discouraged students from realizing their long-term individual mobilities for the purpose of studies.
