It is believed that many young people are eager to take control of their lives and start contributing to the development of their communities. They often experience various transitions in their personal and professional life, such as moving into their own home, starting a family, or working. We want to help them become effective and active citizens by equipping them with the necessary resources. The goal of this first three activities of accreditation was to raise awareness about the importance of youth empowerment and environmental protection, and to help them develop their professional and personal digital skills. Through various activities such as non-formal learning mobilities we aim to strengthen the participation of young people in democratic life. The objective of the project was to improve the quality of youth work by developing and supporting organizations that are active in the field. It also aims to promote intercultural dialogue and the rights of young people in Europe. Through this application we aim to empower young people by giving them digital tools and skills that will help them become more involved in their local community through sustainable development. Ludbreg has one of the highest brain drain rates among young people. Many of them leave the town after finishing their university studies, while others go to work in other countries. We were able to talk to young people and they said that they feel like they don't have a voice in their local community. They also said that there isn't much content for them in terms of employment opportunities. We were able to identify the similarities between the issues of youth empowerment and environmental protection in both rural and urban areas. As our partners, most of them are from rural areas and are from poorer EU countries. They often feel that they are not being able to participate in their local communities due to their lack of resources and skills. They also tend to prioritize their interests in sustainability and ecology. Young people which participated in the project wanted to focus on one of the most important issues in Europe and the world: environmental protection. Through this accreditation, they hope to make people aware of the importance of taking responsibility for their environment. Through the whole project, the young participants were able to learn about the various factors that affect the environment and how they can minimize their harmful behavior. They were also able to participate in activities that promote eco-friendly behavior in their local communities.
