SUP (Stand Up Paddling) is an activity that has been very popular in the last 10 years and has spread all over the world as an excellent form of recreation and entertainment in the summer months. This project is special because SUPs are mainly designed and constructed for activities at sea. Until now, young people spent time on rivers exclusively in river boats. Although KŠVL POSEIDON is a young club, its membership includes experienced competitors, coaches and recreational players, as well as a considerable number of young people in various categories who train almost all SUP disciplines, i.e. they deal with all disciplines that can be practiced in the conditions offered by the river. Only wave disciplines are missing. Duga Resa has a beautiful green river Mrežnica, which will soon become a nature park. There are 3 more rivers in the vicinity of Duga Resa: Korana, Dobra and Kupa, which are only a few kilometers from the city. Using SUPs that we have adapted to the characteristics of rivers, we discover a completely new dimension of the river. In this project, we also enabled the participation of socially sensitive groups, who otherwise would not be able to acquire knowledge of water sports. The aim of the project was to present SUP as a tool for increasing the impact on inclusion, environment and social equality through the following specific objectives: - Awareness of the importance of physical exercise, learning various body strengthening techniques, learning to row, improving coordination, balance, strength, speed - To raise awareness of how to exploit the potential of nature (rivers), respecting green policies. How to think rationally in the use of natural resources, and how to use ecological energy sources and contribute to green policies - Strengthen social sensitivity and inclusion by learning how to perform as a team in activities related to SUP
