This project put the emphasis on the process of democratization and its flaws in a sense of lack of the protection for the marginalized social groups (our focus was more on women, migrants, LGBTIQ+ members, people with disabilities, Roma people and other national minorities). By highlighting the need for advocating complete implementation of proposed actions in the sense of democratization in the long run, it helped to the development of positive thinking, equal approach and providing opportunities for these specific groups in our small communities. The overall aim of the project was to raise awareness about the condition of specific marginalized groups, share knowledge but at the same time exchange good practices on how to deal with this issue. Furthermore the process of learning through experience was created in order to inspire and motivate the participants to recognize discriminatory behavior and prevent it. During the project through the main activity, which is youth exchange we encouraged some ideas that drove the participants into sharing the gained knowledge and experience in order to raise awareness on the topic in their local communities. Alongside promoting equality and equity, the project aimed to increase the competencies of active citizenship of young people. Specific objectives of the project: SO1: 36 young participants raised awareness about the lack of opportunities and human rights violations of marginalized groups; SO2: Throughout the project, each partner organisation and participant advocated an equal process of democratization in every aspect of our society, especially regarding marginalized groups; SO3: The project provided skills and tools to young people to be able to actively participate in their local community and to advocate social equality; SO4: The participants expanded their knowledge about the democratization process and the types / possibilities of active citizenship, its importance and the importance of young people to get involved in the community.
