The idea for this project came from the young people, a group of friends and music band members, who were born and raised in the city of Požega. They are familiar with the most common problems that young people are facing in their hometown, their needs and activities that are missing in the city. They are especially aware of lack of cultural activities and places for young people to express their creativity. We discussed with them what they think they can do to improve current situation in the city. So with this project we wanted to create a space for creative expression of young people from different cultures, which would also bring something new to the city of Požega. Also we wanted to encourage young people from different countries to use music as a form of artivism to tackle many problems that they have in their local communities. The main objective of the project was to empower and teach young musicians, singers and songwriters to use their musical skills and talents for inspiring change in ther local and also the international community. Specific objectives of the project were: - to introduce young people to the concept of artivism and to learn about best case practices of activism or artivism in different countries - to raise awareness about the importance of active participation in the life of the local community - to organise 3 smalls concerts/jam sessions in the city of Požega with participants from 6 different countries - to create minimum 6 workshops about artivism through music that will be organised in participating countries after the mobility - to create minimum 15 testimonies about artivism through music in native language of the participants - to inform the youth about opportunities available to them through Erasmus+ and other European mobility programs.
