Youth workers often do not conduct in-depth research on the needs and problems of their target groups. Due to the pandemic, youth centres were closed, activities postponed, and communication with young people was often disabled. After communicating with youth organizations from our country, as well as partner organizations in this project, we came up with the idea that knowledge of design thinking methodology will facilitate the creation of future activities, but also enable the involvement of young people in the process. The main goal of this project was to teach youth workers how to use design thinking methodology that will help them in personal and professional development, empowering the organizations in which they work and enriching their daily work with young people, innovative and creative tools. The specific objectives of the project related to the objectives of the Erasmus + program were: - Develop and promote an innovative approach and invest in the professional competencies and quality of work of youth workers; contribute to their personal development by increasing their motivation and satisfaction - Increase the capacity of participating organizations through the exchange of practises, experiences, creating output and implementing dissemination activities - Strengthen the digital engagement of youth workers in their work by improving their digital competences - Reach youth through dissemination activities: their knowledge about innovative tools such as design thinking methodology will raise their competencies that come in hand in the labour market of today. In conclusion, we believe that with this project we have enabled people working with young people from five European countries to master the design thinking method so that they can use it for their private development, but also enrich the organizations they come from using it in everyday work with young people.
