Through the implementation of the project, a greater involvement of young people in social events in the Šibenik-Knin County was achieved, and young people were enabled to co-create a policy that has a direct effect on the quality of their lives. Through the continuous interaction of the youth association "Youth in the European Union" with young people in the city of Šibenik and the Šibenik-Knin County, we have become aware of the fact that young people have the need to articulate their views, as well as their wishes and expectations, in a verified document containing concrete guidelines. The adoption of a political document at the county level is a good starting position in solving the problems of young people in the local community and the basis for a successful structured dialogue between decision-makers on the one hand and the youth population on the other. The active involvement of young people in the processes that take place in the community is a guarantee of their integration and constructive participation in the work of all services whose primary interest is the betterment of society. The implementation of project activities ensured continuous support for youth policies at the level of Šibenik-Knin County in order to contribute to the creation of a stimulating environment for young people in smaller towns, i.e. rural areas and on islands, in addition to cities.
