Objectives

One of the key objectives of our kindergarten programme was to demonstrate responsible thinking and actions of teachers, and to transfer and transfer environmentally responsible behaviour, values and lifestyle habits to children and their parents. In addition, ICT tools play an important role in pre-school education, and our aim was to familiarise teachers and children with and use ICT-enhanced learning.

Background

Our activity-based pre-school programme focuses on developing environmentally aware behaviour, promoting an environmentally friendly mindset and educating about healthy lifestyles. We approach planning with a holistic mindset in everyday life. Through playful activities, experiments and varied experiences, we ensure children's development through selective waste collection, recycling, composting and gardening activities. From spring to autumn, children can participate in plant care activities in our garden such as sowing, weeding, transplanting and watering. Together, they can enjoy the fruits of their labour, including strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, cherries, plums, currants, chives, tomatoes, carrots and pumpkins, promoting healthy eating habits. We believe that the knowledge they gain through gardening experiences equips them with skills that they can apply to different life situations, so that they can become aware adults in their environment. We support the bees in our garden with insect control activities and planting insect attractant plants.
