Objectives

1.: Support for learning/teaching, self-study (ICT tools, methods) One of the most effective ways to make students feel successful is to include techniques and tools they know and use well in education. Thus, access to knowledge creates equal opportunities for everyone, which also strengthens the cohesion of the student's environment. 2.: Learning support (complex personality development techniques) Adolescence is one of the most important periods of personality development. We promote the creation of student well-being with techniques that contribute to the development of self-awareness, the development of self-care skills, and exercises that develop emotional intelligence. Recognizing teenage disorders and stressful situations and reducing stress are important because teenagers are emotionally unstable. Learned techniques help to promote stability. 3. Providing students with experiences The use of game-oriented, collaborative methods, often including gamification, in and outside of classes, which increase student motivation and the experiential nature of learning. Through these, cultural and social skills can also be increased, and we can indirectly train our students for environmentally conscious behavior.

Background

The Váci Madách Imre High School is a high school in Vác, which is the educational center of Northern Hungary. Our school is the only public school in our town that primarily prepares students for college and university education. The standard of education is quite high thanks to the motivated and qualified instructors. The number of employees is 62. Teaching takes place in the preparatory year + four years, with five classes in each. We have 700 students. Our school started specialized classes from the 1970s, which provided a wonderful working environment for quality education. Madách students achieved the highest positions in national competitions: we won 1. prize in French (2014,2015), in Literature (2021) and 2.prize in Italian (2013). Our students won gold medals at the Kayak World Championships. Our futsal team participated in the Futsal Student League in Italy (2014). Our handball teams won medals at the Hungarian Student Olympics. At the biggest event, Madách Day, the students show off their talent. They stage plays, hold a dance performance, play instruments or recite poetry. We have project experience: from 2016 we always have Erasmus K1 projects, from 2018 we have three Erasmus K2 projects, we also have accreditation.
