Our students have been approaching some parts of their professional studies using project methods since the introduction of the technical education in 2020 which approach must be welcomed by the teachers of general subjects as it is an inner expectation as well. Thus, our goal was to make them exposed to at least 2-2 methods regarding project-based-learning and 21-century-skill development as well as to make them use them in inter-curricular cooperations. Another objective was to improve our previous projects focusing on inclusion, talent support and the appropriate usage of digital tools. With our mobilities not only did we focus on new knowledge, skills and the refreshment of our pedagogical culture but we were looking for exchangeable best-practices and new partners, institutions open for further cooperations.
Our institution is a 35-year-old clear profile secondary technical school for information technology. We are at present as a well-structured organisation among the other schools specialised in IT training. We have been taking part in projects involving professional mobility and international partnerships enriching our work with methodological and cultural improvement and refreshment. The education of our students is more and more project- and 21-century-skill-based reflecting to the expectation of the Hungarian approach of Vocational Training 4.0. We are determined to share this approach not only in the vocational training but the general educational subjects as well. Some key elements of our educational culture are motivation, the modernization of evaluation and the inclusive student and class communities. We find it essential to adapt the international aspects and experiences in these fields in order for both our students and teacher to profit from the observed methods. Besides widening our international connections, we find the opportunity to have a deeper understanding of the educational systems of different nations as well as to familiarize our partners with the Hungarian educational culture, creativity and innovativeness.
