Although our teachers are excellent theoretical and practical specialists, unfortunately they do not develop in the same rhythm as the international theater world, which also affected the content of our training and the applied teaching methods. Our school's main need and objective was for our students, instructors and through them our school to gain insight into a branch of performing arts training that we have not yet encountered, promoting the development of the standard of our professional training. We felt that it was necessary for our institution to renew itself in relation to the works brought to the stage. In addition, we felt it was essential to pay more attention to the development of foreign language and other skills and competencies of teachers and students. The number of foreign language lessons at school is not enough for students to acquire confident language skills, and English is almost never used during theater rehearsals. The homogenous environment, foreign instructors and students, and the lack of an international perspective reduced the students' efforts to develop their language competences.
The goal of our school is to impart knowledge to the students that makes them suitable for the performance of performing artist tasks, for high-quality shaping of theatrical roles, and for creating theatrical performances. Within the arts vocational training, accepted students can choose between the vocational courses Practical Actor, Theater and Film Actor, and Puppeteer. Many of our former students are now working as graduated actors and directors in the country's leading stone theaters and internationally renowned independent theater companies, playing important roles. The biggest problem of our institution was the isolation and the lack of international outlook. We believe that the world of theater must also adapt to the zeitgeist and psychology, to changing social expectations. In order to change this situation, our school applied in the Erasmus+KA1 vocational training mobility application category in 2019 and 2020, unfortunately without success. In 2021, however, we were successful..
