Our goal is to develop key teaching competencies and linguistic competencies to facilitate adaptation to the changing requirements and to promote students' acquisition of a multicultural approach. Improving linguistic competencies is especially crucial because our students are preparing for professional fields where they often have to cooperate with international contacts. Developing digital competencies among teachers is a must since most exams require the use of digital tools. Our other objective is to develop students' key competences and language competences and promote their adaptive abilities to facilitate adaptation in multicultural environments. We have realized that effective communication, as well as taking responsibility and developing a sense of responsibility, are competencies that our students can build on throughout their chosen career path. The development of professional awareness is very important even at such a young age, since national defence, law enforcement, and environmental protection require a strong commitment to profession-specific values. In terms of their profession, the students will also have to stand their ground in an international environment in the future.
Our institution specializes in four vocations, home defence, environmental protection and water management, law enforcement and chemical industry. We our proud to call ourselves an ecoschool, weaving sustainability and environmental awareness into our school’s everyday life. As a part of BMSZC’s strategy of becoming more international our participation drew our attention to the need to strengthen student career strategy and teacher’s view of their career options. Our school must establish a stable value system rooted in tradition, a sense of professionalism, and at the same time provide a career path that includes a responsible attitude towards the future. The openness of your students, as well as their quick adjustment and adaptation to the multicultural environment, must be developed at all times. It is also a challenge to adapt to the renewed vocational training exam requirements, which strongly requires the proficiency of our instructors in digital methods. Our further need is the professional language development of colleagues and students, so that they can use new knowledge in real situations, and the need arising from their profession, that they may develop their skills by participating in international collaborations.
