The aim of the project was to make traditional professions more attractive to young people, especially in the hospitality sector, which in the long term will also contribute to improving the decline of the sector in our region. This will be achieved by introducing and promoting new techniques and practices, and international examples. It is important to provide students and young people with teachers and professionals with the right knowledge and experience to promote the professions by setting a real example.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya is an economic self-government. Its most important tasks are: to help businesses to assert their interests, to boost the economic development of the region, to promote businesses, to perform tasks assigned by the state, to provide a forum for consultation, to maintain and ensure fair market conduct. The Chamber also provides consultancy services such as business management, financial, legal and vocational training services.The interest in manual, traditional trades has declined in the region, with fewer people opting for vocational training. Positive examples and the introduction of new, modern techniques can help to increase the popularity of these trades. Continuous training of trainers is important and this project has introduced them to Italian examples. Our aim was to increase the knowledge of vocational trainers and professionals so that they can pass on the latest and most innovative methods and technologies to their students and staff.
