Our main objective was to extend the scope of our previous project. We sent 23 students to 3 different countries instead of 20 students to 1 country, and we also started an Erasmus Pro long-term mobility. We wanted to make sure that our students will have an appropriate company-based internship, an opportunity to practise foreign languages and gain some invaluable cultural experience which might in itself not be closely connected with their professional development but their personal advancement. As an Ambassador School of the European Parliament we intended to provide our students, who are already familiar with the countries of the European Union, with the opportunity to experience a stay in a European country whether short- or long-term. Particularly in the Erasmus Pro programme we wished to make use of and increase our experience as a school holding the title “Energy-conscious institution”.
Our school is part of the Győr Vocational Centre. We have a very good relationship with the organization which is running our school, and this also encouraged us to participate in the project. We knew that the project finances would be settled, like pre-financing 20% of the project budget. In our previous 2019 project there were absolutely no problems of this sort. Furthermore, as a school of economics we gained so much positive experience that we wanted tor un again this time. Last but not least, we did not only count ont he support coming from our umbrella organisation but also that of the school management and of the whole staff. The school management was especially in favour of our renewed project as there are no opportunities for our students of Economics to have an internship In Hungary due to several restricting factors, like banking policies etc. Végül pedig nemzetközi együttműködések iránti elkötelezettségünk is a pályázás felé irányított minket, hiszen ezek által is fejlődik iskolánk.
