Objectives

The Eszterházy Károly Catholic University (EKCU), taking into account the trends of the previous years (the decreasing interest in study and the increasing demand for internship scholarships), applied for a 5% higher mobility budget than in previous years and received funds for 19 SMS, 20 SMP, 35 STA, and 43 STT and requested 5 BIPs. One of the most important objectives of the project was to attempt to reverse the decreasing number of student's aspirations for study abroad thus fewer and fewer students applying for scholarship opportunities in our institution. Many students withdraw their application for reasons of (1) financial difficulties, (2) the relative unpredictability of the recognition of learning outcomes, (3) fear of running out of state-funded scholarship time, (4) fear of losing their jobs that often support them or their immediate families and (5) fear of lack of credit recognition. The university planned to increase the number of student mobility by (1) raising awareness among all educational faculties of the credit recognition, (2) using part of the STT mobility and BIP to develop closer professional links with partner institutions to coordinate course content and develop trust between institutions.
