Objectives

In the new program cycle of Erasmus+, Semmelweis University set its goal to continue the successful program of the previous cycle by strongly adhering to the principles of the Charter. Erasmus+ successfully supports the university’s goals highlighted in the development strategy, which focuses on maintaining and developing the individuals’ health status on a societal level. The mobility program supports the realization of the strategic aims defined in the Erasmus Policy Statement, according to which our institution is to become one of the five most successful European medical and health sciences universities by 2030 and to be among the TOP 100 worldwide. The University is dedicated to play a key role in the European Education Area in the field of health sciences training, related researches, innovation and patient care, also to become a biomedical university and knowledge center that efficiently reacts to environmental changes and supports economic development. In order to reach this result, it is essential to increase the international visibility and reputation of the university as well as to consciously support the internationalization process. The Erasmus+ proves to be one of the most efficient tools for achieving this goal.
