Andrassy University (AUB) was founded in 2001 as the first German-speaking institution outside the German-speaking world. It offers master's and doctoral programmes in economics, politics, history and comparative political science and law. The German language forms a strong link between the AUB and other institutions representing German language and culture/economics in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe and Central Asia. By implementing the Erasmus programme, our main objectives are: 1) To build and strengthen networks in the field of education/research: through student and staff mobility, primarily with EU countries (and German-speaking areas) or with countries where German-speaking institutions are present (e.g. the Danube region, Western Balkans, Switzerland, Central Asia); 2) To build networks beyond studies: through Erasmus student internships, thus promoting the AUB in the international labour market. 3) Internationalisation within our institution and enhancement of the European identity and skills of the citizens of the University: specifically through the implementation of Erasmus staff mobility. The international experience and intercultural competence of AUB staff are essential to meet student needs.
