Objectives

In the first KA131 project of the new Erasmus+ programme phase starting in 2021, the University of Debrecen wanted to implement the project based on the growing outbound activity after the pandemic COVID-19 and the university's significant network of partners in Europe and beyond, with an emphasis on digitisation, inclusion and sustainability. In addition to traditional forms of mobility, the aim was also to exploit new opportunities such as short study trips and BIPs, and to exploit synergies between the KA131 and KA107/171 programmes by using project funds to finance mobility outside Europe. It was hoped that the project's Equal Opportunities Grants Scheme, which is much more inclusive than before, would also help less advantaged participants who were previously unable to participate in Erasmus to go abroad. At the planning stage of the project, we had two KA103 projects running in parallel, so we initially expected fewer participants, but by the end of the project, with the help of additional funding from the Tempus Public Foundation, we had managed to achieve more mobility than planned.
