Objectives

By implementing the project, our goal was to achieve several objectives. Firstly, we aimed to increase awareness about mental health disorders among the participants. We provided them with information about common disorders such as anxiety, stress, depression, substance abuse, and sleep disorders, and highlighted the potential dangers associated with these conditions. Secondly, we wanted to offer practical suggestions for managing mental health disorders. Through workshops and discussions, we provided participants with effective strategies to cope with anxiety, manage stress, alleviate depression, improve sleep patterns, and avoid substance abuse. We aimed to empower them to take control of their mental well-being and provide them with tools for self-care. Another objective of the project was to emphasize the role of yoga in personal development. We conducted sessions and activities that raised awareness about the benefits of yoga for physical and mental well-being. Participants learned about mindfulness, meditation, breathing exercises, and physical postures as tools for self-awareness, relaxation, and inner peace. We also aimed to develop a comprehensive study plan for mental health protection using yoga. This plan spanned three months and incorporated various yoga techniques and exercises. The goal was to provide participants with a structured framework that could be adapted to their individual needs, promoting continued practice beyond the project duration. Furthermore, we sought to enhance participants' skills in using yoga for mental health. Through practical training and guidance, we helped participants develop proficiency in utilizing basic yoga steps to improve their mental well-being. We aim to instil confidence and competence in their ability to incorporate yoga into their daily lives. Lastly, we aimed to motivate participants to engage in yoga practice beyond the project. By highlighting the positive effects of yoga on mental health and well-being, we encouraged them to continue their yoga journey as a long-term practice. Our objective was to equip them with the tools and knowledge to protect their mental health and build resilience in the face of future challenges. In summary, our project had the overarching goal of equipping young people with the necessary skills, knowledge, and motivation to protect their mental health, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through our objectives of increasing awareness, providing suggestions, emphasizing the role of yoga, developing a study plan, enhancing skills, and fostering motivation, we aimed to empower participants to prioritize their mental well-being and navigate their post-COVID lives with resilience.
