Objectives

Nowadays Europe is facing xenophobic, radical, populist or sometimes violent movements, which are challenging the idea of democracy itself. These phenomena, while maybe popoular in the west, only hold power in Eastern Europe. Eastern European democracies are young. The people of these countries socialized in a different - socialist - political culture, they don’t really know how to be involved in a democratic system. Youngsters, who may know, are either don’t want to be involved in the "rotten politics", or they just go to the west, which is more experienced in the practice of democracy. Hence, authoristic governments can emerge. Although "politics" is widely regarded as discredited among these youngsters, the situation is not hopeless - if we approach the question from a different point of view, and we talk about civic responsibilities, they become more interested in the topic. If they have proper channels to share their views and to act as responsible citizens, then they become more active. The Eramsus+ programme, and this project in particular can be one of these channels.
