Objectives

CREAM aimed to tackle the unemployment issue of young people in the target countries by brainstorming solutions using creativity to support youth employment and entrepreneurship. Creativity was approached on different levels through self-assessment tools and awareness of personal and new competencies. We worked with participants on cases, examples and creativity in practice, involving the participants' personal experiences. The participants were equipped with multiple tools to develop specific competencies, especially: - Competence to develop coaching tools to apply in regular youth work - Competence to empower and build confidence, self-entrepreneurship and motivation in young people - Competences in facilitating learning of young people locally and in an international context. - Competence in implementing creativity and design thinking processes. Using non-formal and informal education methods, we realised a training course which aimed to: - Give positive answers to the economic crisis and consequent social issues. - Develop young people's basic skills, addressing their questions about how creativity can support employment. - Support the soft and hard skills, facilitate the professional development of young people, and raise awareness of new competencies relevant to a diverse Europe. - Highlight the connection between diverse societies, creative approaches, and new skills for job placements. - Provide opportunities to experience, discuss, and share cultural backgrounds and self-assess how they can be utilised as an additional value for future employment. - Foster an understanding of entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship, and introduce new competencies for achieving employment in a creative manner. - Encourage the sharing of different visions and understandings of diversity. - Allow participants to experience diversity and creativity in practice through simulations, cases, and competency development. - Create a supportive community of individuals interested in creative solutions. That was accomplished by implementing a training course for 36 young people in Balatonszárszó. Participants received ongoing support from the national partner organisations in local piloting and prototyping activities, access to an international peer group, and a Youthpass certificate upon completing all required tasks.
