By implementing our project, we aimed to raise awareness that the obstacle in front of the visually impaired is not actually the visual disability, and the main problem is the wrong attitude of the non-disabled individuals. As it is known, several methods have been found and developed to make visually impaired individuals’ lives easier. However, people who are not visually impaired tend to be unable to communicate in the proper way in social life as a result of their lack of awareness or their egocentric thoughts. Therefore, we thought that if we could make an impact on individuals who are not visually impaired and enable them to communicate with them in the proper way, they would be free in their social life. For this reason, we realized this project by seeing the barrier in the wrong and unconscious communication of visually impaired individuals, not visually impaired individuals. The Goals of Our Project With our project, we aimed to raise awareness on how visually impaired individuals communicate with visually impaired individuals in the right way. We aimed to help people break the prejudices against visually impaired individuals. We aimed to raise awareness of the participants and the people we could reach about the difficulties faced by visually impaired individuals. We aimed to encourage all the individuals we could reach, especially the participants, to volunteer in studies related to disability. We aimed to contribute to the participants and the people with whom we communicated through the project, to change their misbehaviors regarding the visually impaired. With this change we will create on individuals; we aimed to facilitate and strengthen the participation of visually impaired individuals in social life. We aimed for the participants to have a Youthpass certificate and to understand the importance of this certificate. We aimed for our participants to have information about each sub-title of Erasmus Plus and as a result, to increase the awareness of Erasmus Plus. We aimed to contribute to increasing intercultural interaction. We aimed to increase the institutional capacity of partner organizations. We aimed to improve the foreign language skills of our participants. We aimed to enable the participants to learn to plan their own learning processes and develop their creativity.
