The labor market changes constantly and young people has to face new and new challenges continuously. Artificial Intelligence took over many jobs already and we can predict that in the future, the different areas of work will change all the time. With our partners in this project, we have met this problem numerous times, this is why we decided that we create a project where we aim to equip youth workers with new knowledge and tools. It is important for professionals working with youngsters that they are aware of the trends, know the challenges and that the get to know tools with which they can support their target groups with. It is also important to acknowledge, that employment is not the way to go for all young people, more and more people are trying to create new businesses based on their own ideas. But they also need support in this, therefore it is important that the youth workers working with them can support them in the entrepreneurial area. Especially as in the modern world it has become essential to create businesses that are sustainable and have a positive impact on society. The 'ECOLAB' project aims to help professionals working with young people to do this: to learn about the challenges of the modern world of work, to share experiences and good practices, to learn new methods and tools to support the young people they work with. A particular focus of the project is on entrepreneurship and sustainability: to provide participants - and therefore the young people they work with - with ways to create their own businesses that are viable in the long term, adopt sustainable practices and have a positive impact on their environment.
