DEGREBE project wanted to achieve these short-term aims: • to expand the knowledge portfolio of sustainable agriculture of the target group (young agricultural workers/professionals and students) – key environmental issues and soft transversal) skills of GenZ workforce; through these soft (transversal) skills development, the target group can improve and reinforce their green skills as well • to expand the methodology knowledge of the target group (teachers/facilitators/trainers/mentors) – the use of gamification in education DEGREBE wanted to achieve these long-term aims: • to increase the employment rate in agriculture by the development of soft (transversal) and green skills • to raise the awareness of the importance of digitalization and gamification in education and trainings • to foster cooperation and communication among different sectors and fields • to bridge the gap dividing education from institutions and organisations • to promote digital tools in education DEGREBE results therefore contribute to a novel approach and a new methodology in education, and to raising awareness of environmental thinking.
Degrebe project wanted to provide in-depth knowledge about environmental and climate-change challenges through the development of soft (transversal) skills which can help in the acquisition and reinforcement of green skills of the young professionals and students (members of Z Gen) in the agriculture sector with a digital education package, because these skills are becoming particularly important for future generations, as many firms will require their employees to be able to show skills relating to such fields. We believe that a special focus on soft (transversal) and green skills will strengthen and arm future candidates for an effective self-representation within the labour market. Moreover, we wanted to support the uptake of innovative approaches and digital technologies for education with a Trainers' Guide. The Trainers’ Guide provides detailed methodology of gamification for the trainers/educators. With these main project results, Degrebe project wanted to support the digital transformation of education: the use of digital technologies for pedagogical, administrative, technical and organisational change.
