The Erasmus Programme aimed to achieve a multitude of positive results that align closely to MTU’s shared vision, including but not limited to, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and Global Outlook. This was achieved by bettering the educational experience of undergraduate students through the increase of incoming and outgoing study exchanges. Moreover, undergraduate programmes and partner institutions benefited from student placements, which brought new ideas and outlooks to the various campuses and companies. Incoming students, for both study and placement, moved MTU in the direction of being an international, multi-cultural university, as well as being a multidisciplinary and multi-campus technological university. Furthermore, both incoming and outgoing staff mobility, for training and teaching, helped strengthen existing partnerships, while also furthering knowledge of best practices. BIPs were a huge part of this experience and introduced Erasmus to hundreds of students, creating new links to partners and new opportunities for students and staff. All aspects of university life at MTU have been influenced by the implementation of this project, influencing Learner Education & Experience; People and Community; and Global Outlook.
