The University of Limerick organised and coordinated all student (study academic placements and traineeships) as well as staff mobility for teaching and training between UL and partner universities and employers, situated in countries across Europe. Within this contract we also worked to implement the new components of Erasmus via BIPS and short term mobility. This allowed us to target student cohorts that normally would not be able to avail of mobility i.e. students in Education due to the Irish Teaching Council regulations and requirements. Mobility is governed, monitored and evaluated in accordance with the principles of the Erasmus+ Charter for Higher Education. The Erasmus Policy Statement describes UL’s commitment to the programme. This is posted on the UL Global Website - https://www.ul.ie/global/erasmus/charter. In line with our Charter we succeeded in our key priorities to increase the number of students interested and applying to the mobility programmes. A high quality experience was provided by UL via the UL support teams and in relation to their academic experience. Erasmus engagement focused on partners working from networks such as EMERGE, WAA and YERUN as well as via the European University Foundation network. * .
