Through the implementation of the project, the Institute has achieved the following objectives: -improve the training offer by enhancing the skills of school staff - strengthen the sense of active citizenship The priority educational objectives of the school have been declined thanks to our project "Towards new Horizons": -improve students' academic results by making outcomes fair and uniform; -decrease the cases of repetition and abandonment; - encourage the achievement of key and citizenship competences such as know-how, knowing how to orient oneself in different realities, as well as learning to learn; -promote better learning outcomes for students that promote their educational success, improvement and enhancement of learning levels; - improve awareness of one's own potential and attitudes, also in view of the choice of university or insertion in the field of work. In addition, joining the Erasmus Programme has had an added value for the enhancement and enhancement of language skills.
Since some years, IIS Marconi-Mangano has been joining the self-assessment program following a plan of improvement. So the strengths and weaknesses of the organization were outlined. After collecting, evaluating and analyzing the data, it was clear that it was necessary to start promoting Intercultural and European Projects to improve the educational offer and strengthen the sense of active citizenship. In order to achieve these objectives, it has become appropriate to improve the skills of staff and learners. The needs of our School and its objectives have found the right place in the promotion of a first great and important European project after many years, which has started the process of re-development of our Institute and has developed a strong sense of belonging to Europe both in staff and students. We have already experienced that acquiring skills through Erasmus mobilities has supported and will support the professional development of staff involved in the educational, administrative and management sectors.
