With this project we wanted to: -Support of professional development of teachers, improving digital competences by working with a range of interesting tools, software and programmes for teaching and learning. This was a really important objective, which helped teachers in the process of obtaining new skills and developing new methods of teaching and learning in their work in future. - To promoting the use of new technologies and innovative teaching methods. This was also an important goal of our project, as they are an inevitable part of this century and an important part of the educational system in general. - To fostering recognition of learning outcomes of staff in mobility periods abroad, increased motivation and satisfaction in development and implementation of ongoing and future educational activity.
The main motivation for this project was the COVID - 19 crises, which underlined the need for quality online and blended learning, available and acceptable for the pupils. Teachers’ digital skills and competences became the most important component in present education. The Covid crisis confirmed the need for all our teachers to be skilled in using digital technologies effectively in their pedagogical approaches and ensure that all pupils can participate in the educational process. Experiences from this period showed that teachers who had previously invested in their digital capacity were better prepared to adapt teaching approaches, keep learners engaged and continue the education without interruption. The need of this project was based on the evaluations that were implemented each year in our school and the questionnaire that was made while preparation of this application. After summarising the results, emphasis was given on the need of our staff to gain more digital competences and methods that would actively engage the pupils in the learning process. Their needs were not only to learn, but also to experience new methodologies and try to implement activities in an environment out of their comfort zone.
