The objectives of the INFIN project were four: 1.To allow disadvantaged pupils to carry out an internship in a state of the European Union for greater inclusion and for the acquisition of European citizenship skills. 2.To develop knowledge on the green economy and environmental sustainability to adapt pupils' curricula and equip them with specialised technical professional skills. 3.To increase teachers' knowledge and use of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodological approach aimed at the integrated learning of linguistic- communicative and disciplinary skills in a foreign language. 4.To improve the skills of school staff in terms of internationalisation, management and coordination of Erasmus + projects.
Inequalities and exclusion dynamics increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the same time, there was a lack of opportunities to do WBL activities for pupils and to continuously train the school staff. Technological innovation and changes in the labour market impose the need to provide professional skills - also on the green economy - to students as well as soft skills that can be pursued through learning mobility experiences abroad much faster than with a local internship or with lectures. Furthermore, for students with disadvantages, the opportunity to gain experience abroad becomes an inclusion strategy. Thanks to job shadowing experiences, teachers can acquire those skills needed to fill the main gaps in: improvement of English language skills, use of the CLIL methodology and strengthening of internationalisation and European planning skills.
