The A.Volta Institute aims to build a learning environment that reflects the needs of quality training in line with the demands of the outside world. In this regard, the project provided the opportunity for all the staff who joined the initiative and not only, to implement language training abroad and to link it to the expansion of the training offer and the curriculum of the Institute. Job-shmdowing activities have also enabled our teachers to get to know and observe other VET school organisations in Europe and to become more aware of the importance of vocational training in a European context. The project has certainly highlighted the need to expand the base of participants by making mobility accessible to an increasing number of teachers and school staff to consolidate their transversal skills and make them resilient to work contexts that involve intercultural and multidisciplinary skills.
In recent years, IIS A. has increased its participation in international projects such as Improve your Skills making student mobility and the training of all school staff part of the strengths and innovation of our Institute. The project allowed participants to experience an international context of vocational training (job-shadowing) and language enhancement (Courses and Training). The project has allowed our Institute to access training opportunities, growth and development through the comparison with highly professional European organizations drawing new ideas and important ideas to improve the spaces and processes of teaching-learning in a European key. The IIS A.Volta has a population of almost 1,000 students from 94 neighboring municipalities, thus becoming an important hub for technical training throughout the territory. The course of studies is divided into 5 years divided into a Biennium common to all disciplines, and a Triennium in which the training becomes polytechnic and specializing depending on the chosen field of study.
