We developed our proposal around the Erasmus priority “Strenghtening the European dimension”, with the three components of inclusion, diversity and tolerance; valorisation of the common European heritage; development of professional networks in Europe. The objective of our project is to improve the skills of our staff through direct experience on some specific elements: 1. Multiculturalism and multi-ethinc society (Martinique); 2. Integration and inclusion of migrants of second and third generation, and experience of “internal” integration in contemporary Europe (Berlin); 3. Integration of migrants and the features of ultra-peripheral regions of Europe (Canary Islands); 4. A divided society (Cyprus). Besides the themes of multiculturalism and integration, the project allowed participants to develop knowledge on the three horizontal priorities of the Erasmus programme: inclusion of peripheral areas (all partner bus Germany); Green dimension of projects (specifically with Cyprus and the Canary Islands); use of digital methods (specifically with the Canary Islands and Martinique).
Since 1995 IDP works in the field of European policies and programmes; in 1999 we started the side activity of specialised training, initially only in non-formal setting, developing and delivering courses to professionals, companies, public organisations, aiming at spreading competences in the fields of project management and internationalisation. Since 2001 IDP has been involved also in formal training course, in the fields of VET and Higher Education, in the field of masters or specialised training funded by ESF, regional governments and the EU. Courses focus on Project Management, entrepreneurship, internationalisation; since then we trained more than 3.500 professionals by delivering more than 8.500 hours of specialised training. Since 2007 IDP is involved also in Erasmus, contributing to the development and management of projects at European level. KA1 is a perfect opportunity to help enhance and improve skills of our staff on the various aspects of training development and delivery; we consider this opportunity also as a means to strengthen our transnational network.
