RestART’s main goal has been to support the digital transition and resilience of CCS professionals by enhancing the ability of CCS-oriented VET providers to align their training with current and future labour market, economic and societal needs. The project objectives were to: -Develop a transferable ECVET-based framework to help VET providers design innovative and flexible training programs for the CCS leading to the achievement of transferable learning outcomes. -Strengthen key digital and transversal skills of CCS learners, enabling them to create, manage, and promote their products and successfully engage in evolving markets and societies. -Equip CCS VET providers with tools and guidance on using digital technologies in training, competence assessment, and validation, empowering them to support the resilience of CCS actors. Enhance the ability of CCS-oriented VET providers to address 21st-century challenges by becoming more open, inclusive, environmentally conscious, and capable of offering training that meets real labour market needs. -Scale up RestART approaches, encouraging policymakers and other stakeholders to support the transformation of European CCS-oriented VET towards digitalization, inclusivity and sustainability.
The Cultural and Creative Sector (CCS) in the EU has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, putting over 7 million jobs at risk. The pandemic accelerated digitalisation, transforming cultural experiences, yet many smaller CCS professionals lack the skills to seize these new opportunities. To support CCS recovery and resilience, a priority was to equip this sector’s professionals with digital skills. European VET systems are vital for this digital transition but are often unprepared for current challenges. The pandemic disrupted VET programme delivery, exposing gaps in using digital tools, motivating learners, ensuring learning continuity, and providing equal opportunities, increasing dropout risks. Education and training are key for innovation and employability. Technological progress creates new jobs and reforms work, influencing learning needs. Demographic, environmental, political, and economic challenges also necessitate a stronger focus on VET for balanced productivity and growth benefits. Within this framework, RestART’s aim has been to address these challenges by targeting CCS professionals needing digital skill improvements and CCS-oriented VET providers seeking to enhance their digital training competences.
