Objectives

The project aimed to strategically address the challenges posed by the pandemic crisis by promoting digital education as a fundamental EU policy response. Operationally, it aimed to: 1. Support key actors - teachers, students, and company tutors in vocational training: Providing tools and resources to effectively manage WBL. 2. Develop high-quality digital content: Creating materials targeted at students and teachers to bridge the generational gap. 3. Promote innovative intergenerational training: Facilitating peer learning across different age groups. Overall, the project aimed to contribute to the transformation of European education and training systems, promote lifelong learning for the digital age, and improve employability, reduce social inequalities, and foster sustainable competitiveness within the EU.

Background

The presentation of the project is motivated by the needs in vocational training and work-based learning (WBL), both at the European and partnership levels. The challenges of Covid-19 include adapting WBL processes to digital environments. The gap in digital skills is acknowledged, aiming to equip educators and students with digital tools to enhance employability. It aligns with EU priorities to modernize vocational training and bridge the gap between education and employment. Partnership needs include improving internship management and providing support to non-accredited schools. The project addresses the needs of VET schools, educators, and businesses to enhance training through digital platforms. It aims to improve vocational education, student employability, and collaboration between education and the economy.
